Road Trip Highlights

From Desert to Snowy Peaks:

We began our journey from Bullhead City, Arizona, traveling through the wide-open Nevada roads before venturing into the snow-covered mountains of Idaho. Our drive along the Columbia River on I-84 was breathtaking, showcasing rolling hills and valleys dusted with winter frost.

Idaho Family Time:

Christmas in Idaho was magical! Highlights included matching dinosaur pajamas for family photos, reconnecting with loved ones, and watching Marcus, our grandbaby, grow and thrive.

Polar Plunge:

Five icy dips in Cocolalla Lake challenged us physically and mentally, inspired by Wim Hof's cold immersion practices. The post-plunge energy was unforgettable!

Skiing on Lookout Mountain:

With ski runs in both Idaho and Montana, Lookout Mountain provided fresh powder and uncrowded slopes. Watching our family regain their ski and snowboard legs was a joy.

• Driving in Snow: Always check weather conditions and pack essentials like chains, blankets, and snacks. Expect scenic but slow-going drives in Oregon's mountain passes.

• Salmon Falls Creek (Nevada): A perfect spot for future camping, with stunning canyon views.

• Wildlife Management Areas: North of Las Vegas, these areas are ideal for stretching your legs and enjoying the desert landscape.
